The 6th annual 2019 Wisconsin Tech Summit was held March 18 at Lambeau Field in Green Bay, Wisconsin.
Sixty-one emerging companies applied to meet with 20 major firms: Accuray, Advocate Aurora Health, Associated Bank, AT&T, Aurora Research Institute, CGI, Dedicated Computing, Exact Sciences, Foxconn, GE Healthcare, Johnson Controls, Marshfield Clinic Health System, Microsoft, Northwestern Mutual, Rockwell Automation, Schneider, UW Health, Versiti, WEA Trust and WIPFLi. Over 250 speed-dates took place before the day was done, with valuable exchange of ideas, innovation and potential for partnerships, referrals and investing.
We started the full day with opening remarks by Rep. Mike Gallagher with networking and opening session with Dave Vasko of Rockwell Automation and Vivek Bhatt of GE Healthcare to discuss strategies going into the strategic meetings for both major firms and emerging companies. Seven complementary Office Hours sessions gave attendees a range of valuable ideas to incorporate into their businesses. These industry experts were from Talentfoot, Titletown Tech, Accelity Marketing, Wisconsin Economic Development Corp., NEW Capital Management and Center for Technology Commercialization. Many important conversations and connections were made, and we look forward to hearing about the successes. Many of our sponsors had fantastic exhibitors tables to visit to showcase their innovative services and products. We ended the day with a short Lambeau Tour through the players’ tunnel to the field’s apron. Thank you to everyone who helped make the #WisTechSummit a success, and we hope to see you next year!
