Founders, funders, and Milwaukee startup supporters gathered at Wantable Café for a first look at a number of FOR-M graduates on Monday, November 14.

FOR-M is an initiative of the Milwaukee Tech Hub Coalition to support and grow Milwaukee’s tech startup ecosystem. The free program takes a community-based approach to offer tech startup founders the guidance, connections, and support to kickstart their new business concepts. Since its inception, the program has granted more than $200,000 in funding to emerging businesses.

Judges Jennifer Abele, Erica Conway, and Ellie Travanty reviewed the presentations of 17 program graduates. Winners had the opportunity to present their elevator pitch to the crowd. Top honors went to James Washington IV, founder of Fantasy Block, a fantasy sports advice app, Elzie D. Flenard III, founder of Podcast Town, and People’s Choice winner Mitchelle Lyle, founder of International Travel Assist, a company that helps remote workers connect with homes abroad.
