Economists have been predicting a recession, or at least a slowdown for sometime, but Wisconsin is seeing record unemployment and steady job growth, defying national numbers. A strong manufacturing sector has helped the state avoid a downtown thus far, but will growth continue and what are the challenges in coming months and years. On April 10, 2023, Newsmakers was joined by CEO of the Wisconsin Center for Manufacturing and Productivity, Buckley Brinkman and Professor Steven Deller, Department of Agricultural and Applied Economics at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
