Members of the Wisconsin Legislature’s Tech Caucus, a bipartisan informal working group, met Nov. 13 at Lakeside Vision Center, a 19,000-square-foot technology center near Chilton that operates entirely on renewable energy. Established in mid-2022 by Faith Technologies Inc., a Wisconsin-born firm, the center is entirely “off the grid” and serves as a testing and demonstration center for microgrid development using solar and wind energy and Level 2 and 3 charging of electric vehicles. Members of the Legislature, some staff members and representatives of the Legislative Fiscal Bureau took part, led by Tech Caucus co-chair Sen. Dan Feyen of Fond du Lac. Members of the Tech Council board, staff and advisors also participated. FTI is the parent organization of Faith Technologies, EnTech Solutions and Excellerate, which together provide full-solution services in electrical design and engineering, clean energy and manufacturing innovations.
