The number of electric and hybrid vehicles on Wisconsin roads have more than doubled since 2013, but still make up less than 2% of the vehicles in the state, according to a new report from the Wisconsin Policy Forum.

Combined registrations of electric and hybrid vehicles in Wisconsin rose from 44,178 in 2013 (the earliest year of available data) to 102,492 in 2021, an increase of 132%, according to the report.

There were more than 5.5 million total passenger vehicle registrations in the state in 2021.
