Monica Doss, CED President, will present “Creating a Climate of Innovation” to the Wisconsin Innovation Network Northeast (WIN NE) at our Thursday, October 26, 2006, meeting. She will describe the challenges that the Research Triangle Park region faced and how CED was able to help. Monica received the 1999 National Entrepreneur of the Year Award in the Supporter of Entrepreneurship category. She is a frequent speaker and coach on entrepreneurial development and building innovation-based economies and an active member in national and regional coalitions on entrepreneurship and innovation

CED is the largest entrepreneurial support organization in the world, with more than 4,000 active members representing 1,100 companies. The group helps entrepreneurs in a wide range of industries, in all stages of development.

“Creating a Climate of Innovation” is sponsored by the Council for Innovation, a northeast Wisconsin organization inspired by CED and affiliated with UW-Oshkosh. The program will be held at the DJ Bordini Center in Grand Chute on October 26, 2006. Registration/networking begins at 4:45 p.m. The presentation runs from 5:15 – 6:15 p.m., with more networking to follow. Cost is $5 for WIN members and $10 for non-members.
