A panel of healthcare information technology experts will discuss how COVID-19 will continue to evolve the use of digital health at the eighth annual Wisconsin Tech Summit.

General admission registration is open.

Panelists Dr. Rajeev Chaudhry of Mayo Clinic; Jeri Koester of Marshfield Clinic Health Systems; and Dr. Asif Naseem of PDS will discuss continued innovation in the industry and how entrepreneurs and emerging companies can help. This plenary panel is sponsored by Concordia University Wisconsin.

“COVID-19 has left an indelible mark on health information technology in the United States and Wisconsin. Telemedicine use has grown geometrically. Anonymous patient data is being used to improve disease diagnosis and to respond to public health threats. Virtual care strategies can better monitor patients with chronic conditions,” said Tom Still, president of the Wisconsin Technology Council. “Moving ahead, what does the industry need and how can innovators help?

The Tech Council is co-producing the Tech Summit with the Wisconsin Healthcare Business Forum. It is built around a series of brief meetings, or “speed dates,” to foster communication and partnership between 22 major firms and about 80 emerging companies.

The March 17 Tech Summit will also include:

  • Educational “Office Hours” seminars, which will be available to all participants during those times in which they are not scheduled for individual meetings;
  • An event overview and opening discussion to help set the stage for emerging companies by allowing major firms to talk generally about their goals, needs and emerging markets, and;
  • A keynote presentation by a former Google Ventures partner.
