The Wisconsin Academy of Sciences, Arts & Letters announced Danielle Harms as director of letters. In this role, Harms will serve as editor of the academy’s signature publication, Wisconsin People & Ideas (WP&I) magazine, lead the WP&I Poetry & Fiction Contest, as well as engage people and organizations across the state to connect and amplify Wisconsin’s literary community.

Danielle Harms is completing her PhD in English at UW–Milwaukee, where she is the faculty advisor for the undergraduate-run journal Furrow and served as the creative nonfiction editor of Cream City Review. She has a B.A. from Gustavus Adolphus College and an MFA in creative writing from George Mason University, where she was an assistant term professor and the editor of Phoebe. Her career started internationally, as an English language teacher in South Korea and Hungary.
