Michael and Patrick Hull, two Madison stockbrokers whose aggressive
money management strategies led to a shortfall of as much as $24.5 million
in the Wisconsin Funeral Trust, aim to raise a $30 million venture capital fund
with Teresa Esser, managing director of the Silicon Pastures angel investing
group.

“Access to larger pools of capital, especially international pools,
can be an important part of the game today when it comes to building a
fund,” said Tom Still, president of the Wisconsin Technology Council.
“It will be interesting to watch the development of Greenpoint, given the
varied experience of the players and their connections to the Asian
markets.”
