There are many paths to economic growth, all with their advocates. Many scholars and businesspeople believe the spark for growth comes from the entrepreneur.

 

“Entrepreneurship is where the new ideas come from that produce economic progress,” Randall Holcombe of Florida State said. “If you didn’t have any entrepreneurs, everything would be the same next week as it is this week, same next year as it was last year. Economic progress would come to a halt.”
