Nine early-stage companies graduated Thursday night from WERCBench Labs, a start-up training program run by the Milwaukee-based Mid-west Energy Research Consortium. The start-ups each received
grants for $10,000 in June at the beginning of the program and another
$10,000 upon graduation, said consortium spokesman Josh Morby. More than
500 people attended a demo day celebration at the Harley-Davidson
Museum, he said.
