Through University of Wisconsin-Stout research and a state grant, the world is one step closer towards creating better, more efficient farms with technology.

Research being done by professors at UW-Stout are looking into the implementation of a low-cost, wireless sensor network which monitors farm fields.

This project is named A HumanCentered Collaborative Approach to Designing an Energy-Efficient Wireless Sensor, and is funded by a two-year, $175,000 Innovation Grant that was awarded by the Universities of Wisconsin. UW-Stout’s research was one of only three projects that was funded by this grant.
