There’s two weeks left in a presidential campaign that promises to end closer and rougher than a dry shave. Although Americans know where the candidates stand on many national priorities, their positions on the tech-based economy and entrepreneurism in general aren’t as well known.
Join us Nov. 13 at the Wisconsin Early Stage Symposium to hear from veteran Capitol Hill lobbyists who are principals at Flywheel Government Solutions. The discussion will begin about a half-hour before conference attendees hear from Dan Olszewski, winner of the 2024 “Excellence in Entrepreneurial Education” award.

“Issues that may come before the 119th Congress could change with the outcome of the Nov. 5 election,” said Tom Still, who will moderate the discussion for the Wisconsin Technology Council, “but possibilities include R&D tax breaks, higher tax deductions for startup costs, patent law changes, internet free speech issues and, of course, regulation of artificial intelligence platforms.”
The conference will also feature:
- A Nov. 13 fireside chat featuring Erik Iverson, CEO of the Wisconsin Alumni Research Foundation and Still
- A Nov. 14 keynote session featuring Microsoft’s planned data center
- Targeted panel discussions featuring leading entrepreneurs, investors and others tied to state, regional and national tech sectors
- Two-dozen companies pitching in the five-minute Tech Council Investor Networks tracks, where one founder can ‘win’ and advance to Startup World Cup competition in October 2025
- 18 startups pitching after noon Nov. 14 during the 90-second Elevator Pitch Olympics.
- Exhibit hall showcasing innovative Wisconsin companies.
- A Nov. 13 conference reception, two luncheons, two breakfasts and other networking opportunities, including an investors-only dinner.
