Michael J. Cudahy, the founder of Marquette Medical Systems in Milwaukee, has died at 97. He was the 2008 recipient of the Wisconsin Technology Council’s “Ken Hendricks Memorial Seize the Day” award for entrepreneurial excellence. Marquette Medical was sold to GE Healthcare in 1998 for $810 million, an exit that propelled Cudahy into being one of the region’s leading philanthropists. Read more here.

The ”Seize the Day” award has been a part of the Tech Council’s Entrepreneurs’ Conference since 2004 and will take center stage again June 1-2 when the conference returns to Milwaukee at the Italian Community Center.
