In a track and field event like the U.S. Olympic Team Trials, milliseconds could make all the difference between an athlete’s triumph or disappointment. Guaranteeing that all these numbers were correct was the job of one Wisconsin-based company.

PrimeTime Timing, an event and race management company based at 3455 N. 127th St. in Brookfield, provided the technology for the national track and field competition at Hayward Field in Eugene, Oregon, from final times and tracking technology to in-stadium scoreboards and video displays.

“We basically set up the technology that handles the athletes,” PrimeTime Timing owner Sean Gavigan told the Milwaukee Business Journal. “We can track the athletes’ movements, speed and different biometric data points, we measure that throughout the course of the races. We set up and provide data to infield scoreboards and video displays in real time to just kind of create the in-stadium experience.”
