Epic Systems Corp. can move forward with the first phase of its latest fantastical Dane County campus expansion that’s designed to accommodate hundreds of employees.
The city of Verona Plan Commission on April 3 approved a site plan for three new office buildings and a food service facility on Epic’s headquarters campus outside of Madison. Designed under the theme, “Other Worlds,” it’s slated to feature a Hobbit-inspired cafeteria and a Narnia-inspired office building.
The fast-growing medical technology firm is known for its sprawling, unique campus that features a working farm, a treehouse conference room, and buildings inspired by “The Wizard of Oz” and “Harry Potter.” It’s designed to foster creativity, teamwork and innovation, according to the company.
