Milwaukee Business Journal: Foxconn plans to produce electric-vehicle batteries in Wisconsin

Foxconn has set plans to manufacture electric-vehicle batteries at its plants in Mount Pleasant and in Ohio, a company executive told investors this week.

The decision marks possible new production and employment for the Mount Pleasant site initially planned for a large LCD screen plant. Foxconn Technology Group controls more than 1,000 acres in Racine County and has four facilities focused on making digital communications and other computer technology.
