Nearly half of Wisconsin businesses plan to raise wages by more than 4% in 2022, which is roughly double the number that said they would a year ago, according to new state workforce data released Wednesday from an employer survey conducted by Wisconsin Manufacturers & Commerce (WMC).

The summer 2022 Wisconsin Employer Survey, which surveyed 216 employers that represent WMC’s membership pool, also found that 37% of businesses now offer remote or hybrid work options compared with just one in 10 before the pandemic.
