The Wisconsin Biohealth Tech Hub, which is poised to create tens of thousands of jobs statewide as it advances personalized medicine technology, plans to establish a headquarters in the Milwaukee area and hire three new employees.

The hub is considering leasing office space in Wauwatosa or potentially in downtown Milwaukee, according to Wisconsin Biohealth Tech Hub regional innovation officer Wendy Harris.

Details about the biohealth hub’s future office space and team expansion came Tuesday as the Biden administration announced that Wisconsin’s tech hub is among 12 hubs nationwide selected to receive millions in highly competitive federal dollars. It could receive up to $49 million in federal funding, plus additional contributions from the state and industry partners that bring its total funding amount to more than $80 million.
