The highlight of the Wisconsin Entrepreneurs’ Conference is the Governor’s Business Plan Contest. Now in its 20th year, the contest has drawn 4,509 entries since its inception. Participants in the program have raised $300 million in funds for their emerging businesses.

This year’s contest focused on businesses in the following categories: Advanced Manufacturing, Business Services, Information Technology and Life Sciences. Of the 147 qualified applicants, 13 businesses remained in the final round of contest, which offers winners cash and in-kind prizes valued at an estimated $2.6 million.
