The Milwaukee Chapter of Blacks in Technology (BIT) has a new president.

Blacks In Technology is a national “tech focused community and media organization that is dedicated to increasing the representation and participation of Black people in the technology industry.” Arlando Monk, the Chief Visionary Office of Visionary League, is now also leading the local BIT chapter.

“The role of Blacks in Technology in Milwaukee is to share more resources for Blacks who are interested in technology. The foundation has so many resources that could be impactful to people, like training, mentorships, job opportunities, and different networking events. Our goal here is definitely to share all those opportunities with people as much as possible,” Monk said.

Membership to this organization is free. Monk has personally experienced the benefits of his Blacks in Technology membership.
