The Wisconsin Technology Council is among the conveners of the 2010 Wisconsin Economic Summit Series, which will begin with an Aug. 2 summit on economic development in Appleton.

The University of Wisconsin System, Competitive Wisconsin, the Wisconsin Higher Education Business Roundtable, the Wisconsin Way and the Tech Council are co-hosting a series of three summits dedicated to helping Wisconsin forge dynamic strategies for a stronger economic future. The Aug. 2 summit will highlight, among other things, the findings and recommendations from a recent study commissioned by Competitive Wisconsin, the Wisconsin Economic Development Association and the Wisconsin Counties Association.

The second summit (Aug. 26, La Crosse) will focus on the critical strategic choices facing the next governor and Legislature in the state’s 2011-13 budget deliberations. The third summit (Oct. 5, Milwaukee) will build on the results of the first two summits to develop a set of strategic briefing papers and recommendations for the incoming administration and Legislature.
