Portable lead detection device developer NanoAffix Science LLC of Wauwatosa is among 10 companies selected for a late-stage water technology startup accelerator program, The Water Council announced Tuesday.

The Water Council’s BREW (Business, Research & Entrepreneurship in Water) 2.0 Post-Accelerator program is designed for companies that are ready to enter the market or that have early sales. Participating companies will get targeted virtual training to help them build connections and grow capacity.

The other companies selected for the BREW 2.0 cohort are based in Tacoma, Washington, as well as in Austria, the United Kingdom, Canada, India, Sweden and France. The companies will present their innovations at a virtual pitch event for water industry professionals and investors on June 23.
