On July 26, 2022, Wisconsin is one of three states that allows high-voltage direct current transmission lines and communications fiber to be buried in certain highway rights-of-way, which holds enormous potential for electric and connected vehicles and distribution of solar and wind energy. Wisconsin Technology Council hosted a luncheon to learn more about the technology and why other states are looking to embrace the Wisconsin example. Panelists include:

  • Randy Satterfield – NextGen Highways;
  • Greg Levesque – American Transmission Co.
  • Dan Ebert – The Ebert Group and former chairman of the Public Service Commission of Wisconsin
