Blue and Gold Brewing started as an idea on social media, but it’s grown to a full-blown company created by four Marquette University students.
“It came from a Twitter thread. Someone was at a bar drinking. They saw the menu that there was a UWM Panther beer and tweeted out that we need a Marquette beer,” said Jackson Cosgriff, Blue and Gold Brewing.
Cosgriff partnered with three Milwaukee breweries — Gathering Place, Good City Brewing and Broken Bat — for the project. Marquette alumnus Tim Pauly, the owner of Broken Bat, taught them how to run a business.
