Tom Still was selected to join the Board of Trustees for WiSys—a nonprofit organization that promotes research, innovation and entrepreneurship at the 11 regional comprehensive University of Wisconsin System schools.

“Tom is a tireless advocate for innovation and entrepreneurship throughout Wisconsin,” said WiSys President Arjun Sanga. “His unique insights into early-stage investment and technology policy will be valuable to our board and the UW institutions we support. I look forward to working with Tom in this new capacity.”

Still is president of the Wisconsin Technology Council.

The Tech Council is the non-profit, bipartisan science and technology policy advisory board to the governor and the Legislature. Its programs include the Tech Council Investor Networks, the Tech Council Innovation Network, the Governor’s Business Plan Contest and regular events that connect entrepreneurs, investors, researchers and others with a stake in the tech-based economy.

Still is also a former associate editor of the Wisconsin State Journal in Madison. He writes a syndicated column that appears regularly in more than two-dozen publications. Previously, Still served on the WiSys Advisory Committee.

“We’re pleased to add Tom’s experience and expertise to the WiSys Board. I’m confident he will help us advance our goal of inspiring Wisconsin innovation,” said WiSys board chair David J. Ward.

WiSys is a nonprofit organization that works with faculty, staff, students, and alumni of the UW System to facilitate cutting-edge research programs, develop and commercialize discoveries and foster a spirit of innovative and entrepreneurial thinking across the state.
