n      Janet Phillips, Vector Surgical, which sells devices that improve the accuracy and speed of surgical procedures. Phillips was the Grand Prize winner in the 2007 Governor’s Business Plan Contest.

As entrepreneurs who have sold varied products, the panelists will compare and contrast sales strategies that work in today’s markets.  They will discuss creating a stream of customers using traditional and alternative sales methods.  They will also share personal stories of sales tactics to avoid.  Joe Kremer, director of the Wisconsin Angel Network, will moderate.

“No business is immune from slumping sales, which could be caused by conditions ranging from changing markets and reduced consumer confidence to staffing issues and emerging competition,” said Tom Still, president of the Wisconsin Technology Council and WIN. “Our panel will offer practical advice on how small businesses can navigate those difficult channels.”

In-depth discussion of sales strategies and best practices will continue at the Wisconsin Entrepreneurs’ Conference to be held June 9-10 at the Hyatt Regency Milwaukee.  Stay tuned for more conference details at www.wisconsintechnologycouncil.com.
