A Waterloo company that has become a major seller of individually packaged pickles is expanding its reach into another major retailer.
Van Holten’s has announced that it will soon have its Pickle-In-A-Pouch Dill Pickle in 6,874 Dollar General stores around the country. And, if sales go well, it could mean more shelf space for other Van Holten’s products and entry into more of the chain’s 13,000 stores.
“We’re really excited to get the distribution into Dollar General. It’s a good stepping stone for us,” said Darlene Herrmann, a regional sales manager for Van Holten’s. “Pickle related things are super trendy right now and we’re riding a wave.” Read the full story here.
