LaCrosseTribune: Science building expected to generate 1,400 jobs, $$157 million economic impact

UW-L has strong science offerings, Chancellor Joe Gow said, receiving
state and national recognition for its biology, physics and mathematics
programs. In the decades since the current science building — Cowley
Hall, was built in 1963 — these programs have exceeded the capacity and
technology in the building, and the new science center is designed to
address those issues.
