Milwaukee, a “booming startup ecosystem?”
According to Inc., Milwaukee is one of the top three hot cities for startups in 2017 – with the others being Buffalo and Salt Lake City.
“It’s an exciting time, and people are catching on to the fact that Milwaukee is a great place for startups,” said WTMJ Mobile TechWisconsin host Matt Cordio who joined John Mercure on Wisconsin’s Afternoon News Wednesday.
“It’s great that people are looking at the Midwest as a place to start their company.”
One reason involves the lower cost of operating a business here – particularly if it’s a brick-and-mortar operation.
“Rent in Milwaukee is about a quarter of what it is in San Francisco. We’ve seen companies from San Francisco and Boston actually locate and create jobs here in Southeast Wisconsin.” Read the full story here.
