The Wisconsin District Export Council and the Godfrey Kahn law firm, in cooperation with 12 federal agencies, is hosting a full-day “Stop Fakes Roadshow” May 2 in Waukesha.

Speakers will cover how to identify and protect intellectual property assets; strategies for determining in which international markets to seek protection; mechanisms for obtaining intellectual property protection overseas; and how to combat foreign counterfeits here and abroad.

The event will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Marriott Milwaukee West, W231N1600 Corporate Court, Waukesha. The cost is $95, including breakfast and lunch.

Participating federal agencies are: U.S. Customs and Border Protection; U.S. Small Business Administration; Minority Business Development Agency; Export-Import Bank of the United States; U.S. Department of Commerce; International Trade Administration; U.S. Patent and Trademark Office; Federal Bureau of Investigation; U.S. Commercial Service; National IPR Center; U.S. Copyright Office; and the U.S. Department of State.
