Wantable Inc. decided to lease more space in its distribution center on 507 S. 2nd St., Milwaukee, after plans to move into a larger headquarters fell through.

“I’d say we’ve been out of space for six months,” said Jalem Getz, president of the e-commerce firm. “But our team has made it work.”

On Tuesday, Aug. 1, the company will start moving to the third floor, which will add 21,000 square feet of leased space to its current 107,000-square-foot-distribution site. The company will continue to move into other floors in December, adding another 42,000 square feet.

Coakley Relocation Systems owns the building.

Initially, the firm planned to relocate to the former Pick ’n Save at 1818 W. National Ave. to accommodate its growing employee base. The company had planned to buy the roughly 112,000-square-foot building and raised $800,000 to finance the purchase.
