The president of the Wisconsin Technology Council says he supports the Foxconn deal.

Tom Still spoke to students, faculty and local residents during Viterbo University’s Ethics in Leadership series.  The non-partisan Council advises the governor and legislature about science and technology issues.

Still says there are two things many people don’t know about the Foxconn plan.  First, you can hear him explain how the deal opens Wisconsin and the U.S. to technology that previously did not exist here.

Second, Still says people are not clear about the nature of the deal.  He says it’s a carefully crafted contract which he describes as a pay as you grow strategy.  Still says Wisconsin won’t have to pay the tax credits up to $3 billion unless Foxconn meets all the provisions of the contract.
